Mutsu is a Golden Delicious-Indo cross that was introduced in the 1940's in Japan.  Mutsu is very crisp and sweet and has just a touch of tartness. "Crispin" is another name for this variety.

Northern Spy: Northern Spy was first grown in East Bloomfield, New York in the early 1800’s. With thin skin and a crisp, juicy flesh, Northern Spy is great for baking and keeps well.
